Albert E. Miller, age 94 of Aurora, IN formerly of Batesville, IN passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at the Waters of Dillsboro Manor in Dillsboro, IN. Born May 4, 1917 in Sunman, IN he was the son of the late Walter & Emma (Faber) Miller. The US Army Veteran of WWII and recipient of the Purple Heart retired from Hill-Rom Co. in Batesville as a welder. He married Irene D. Brigley in Worchester, MA on December 3, 1942 and she survives. Mr. Miller was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Batesville, IN and Batesville Lodge 668 F&AM. Albert is survived by his wife Irene Miller, sons Gerald Miller of Madison, WI and Melvin (Julia) Miller of N. Highlands, CA. He will also be missed by his grandchildren Christina (Tim) Kent & Andrew Miller and granddaughter-in-law Patricia Dehne; great grandchildren Hunter, McKinzie & Lauren Kent, Sarah & Bradley Miller and his brother Robert Miller of Sunman, IN. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandsons Geoffrey & Alexander Miller, brothers Howard & Ray Miller and sister Ida Boerstler. Visitation will be Saturday, September 24, 2011 from 12:30pm until time of services at 2:00pm all at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Batesville with Pastor Jill Kepler Campbell officiating. Masonic services will start at 12:15pm at the church. Burial will be in St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery (Hubbles) in Sunman, IN with graveside military rites. Memorials are suggested to St. Mark Lutheran Church or St. Mary's School in Aurora.
