Alvin F. Bernhard, age 82, of Batesville, died Friday, October 12, 2007 at the Mercy-Franciscan Hospital in Fairfield, OH. Born October 26, 1924 in Lookout, IN to Edward and Alice (Huneke) Bernhard. He retired from the Farm Bureau Co-op in Osgood. He is a U.S. Army Veteran of Korea, member of the Adams Lutheran Church and life member of the Osgood American Legion. He is survived by several cousins, in addition to his parents he was preceeded in death by one brother who died as an infant. Visitation is Sunday, October 14, 2007 at 12:00noon followed by funeral service at 2:00pm in Meyers Funeral Home, Batesville, IN. Rev. William Powlin officiating. Burial with military graveside rites in the Adams Luthern Church Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Adams Lutheran Church.
