Amos Siebert, age 87 of Batesville, IN passed away Friday, September 11, 2009 at Margaret Mary Community Hospital in Batesville, IN. The son of Walter and Lorena (Belmer) Siebert was born June 3, 1922 in Batesville, IN. On May 4, 1946 he married Ruth Menchhofer at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Crossroads. The life long farmer also ran a fertilizer company in the 60's & 70's. He is survived by his wife, son Larry (Ellen) Siebert and daughter Janet (Dave) Westerfeld, both of Batesville. Along with two granddaughters Nan (Dexter) Franke and Clare Siebert, one grandson Darren Westerfeld and two great grandsons Austin & Cody Franke. In addition to his parents he was preceeded in death by his three brothers Ray, Orval & Arnie Siebert and his sister Marjorie Kessens. Visitation Monday September 14, 2009 from 5 to 8pm at Meyers Funeral Home, Batesville, IN. Funeral Services Tuesday, September 15, 2009, 10:30am at St. Paul Lutheran Church Crossroads with Pastor Robin Owen officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Paul Church Cemetery, Batesville, IN. Memorials may be given to St. Paul Cemetery or the Alzheimers Association c/o the funeral home.
