Betty Bohner, age 84 of Batesville, IN formerly Brookville, IN passed away Thursday, September 17, 2015 at The Waters of Batesville. Born July 20, 1931 in Cincinnati, OH she was the daughter of Walter & Catherine (Meyer) Howell. She was a homemaker but also retired after 16 years at Troumbull Asphalt in Brookville, IN. The 1949 Osgood High School graduate married Dale Bohner on October 21, 1950 in Versailles, IN. Betty loved to garden and raised a lot of vegetables and flowers. She also loved to bowl and had many trophies to show for it. She loved camping, fishing and traveling in their motor home and earned the right to boast that she had visited every state in the Continental US except two. Above all, what Betty valued most was family and home. Betty is survived by her husband Dale Bohner, her children Terry Reynolds of Spencer, IN and Connie Reed of Batesville, IN. She will also be missed by her grandchildren Caelum, Cati, Carrie & Faith along with her great grandchildren Matthew, Lucas & Owen and her sister Loraine Snively of Osgood, IN. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Clarence Howell. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 22, 2015 from 4-6pm followed by services at 6:00pm at Meyers Funeral Home, Batesville, IN with Steve Yeaton officiating.
