Betty Lee Davis, age 80 of Batesville, Indiana passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2015. Betty was born on March 17, 1935 to Jessie and Lottie (Balting) Moore in Shelbyville, IN. The 1953 Morristown High School graduate worked at Hill-Rom for many years, retiring in 1996. She married Dennis Eugene Davis in 1977 in Batesville. Betty loved to garden and was good gardener too. Her family said she could put a stick in the ground and an oak tree would come up. Betty loved her family dearly and especially enjoyed having all her grandchildren around. She will be missed by her husband, Dennis, son and daughter-in-law Mike & Gayle Spurling of Mt. Auburn, IN, daughters Cindy Scudder of Greensburg, IN and Brenda Gridley of Batesville along with her grandchildren Michelle Whitis, Tifany Hensley, Dale Gridley & Bobbie Hodge; 10 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Patricia Sleeth and two grandsons Nathan Spurling and Bennie Ray Gridley. Visitation is Thursday, July 30, 2015 from 5-8pm with funeral services 10am on Friday, July 31st all at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville, IN. Pastor Doug Preston officiating. Burial will follow in St. Johns Church Cemetery, (Huntersville) Batesville. Memorials may be given to Cancer Research c/o of the funeral home
