Betty Jane Mergenthal, age 88 years of Cincinnati, OH passed away Monday, November 3, 2008 in Kenwood, OH. Born July 24, 1920 in Brookville, IN, she was the daughter of the late Fred A. & Carrie (Harvey) Pohlar. She graduated from Batesville High School in 1939. She is survived by her daughters Carol Kirby of Cincinnati, OH & Beth Craft of Florence, KY. She will also be missed by her grandchildren Shawn Craft, Aimee Craft, Tori Kirby & Levi Kirby. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Claudia Jane Mergenthal who died at the age of 12. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 5, 2008 from 11am until time of service at 1pm all at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville, IN with Rev. Dave Johnston officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville, IN.
