Betty Jean Siebert, age 85 of Batesville, IN passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at The Waters of Batesville. Born June 29, 1927 in Batesville she was the daughter of August & Rita (Kramer) Ahrens. She married Alvin W. Siebert on September 8, 1945 at St. John Church,Huntersville where she was currently a member and also a member of St. John's Ladies Aid. Betty, a graduate of Batesville High School, loved to mow grass and work on the farm. She loved her flowers, which would always do well & grow and also gardening. She was a very faithful nurse & wife to her husband. She liked to do crossword puzzles and did a lot of reading. Betty is survived by her son and his wife Dennis & Roberta Siebert of Batesville, IN. She will also be missed by her sisters Wilma (Bob) Meyer of Batesville & Gertrude Linville of Kentucky and brother Mervin (Margie) Ahrens of Batesville along with many nieces & nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Alvin W. Siebert on May 27, 2004 and her brother Irvin Ahrens. Visitation will be Friday, December 21, 2012 from 4-7pm at Meyers Funeral Home, Batesville, IN. Funeral Services will be Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 10:00 at the funeral home with Rev. David Johnston officiating. Burial will be in St. John Church Cemetery, Huntersville. Memorials are suggested to St. John Cemetery Fund c/o Meyers Funeral Home.
