Bruce Edward Gabbard Sr., age 73 of Greensburg, Indiana passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at his home.  The son of Brice and Lola (Dunnington) Gabbard was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on January 15, 1944.  He was raised in New Trenton, Indiana.

Bruce was a proud Navy veteran serving during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Harrison VFW Duwel Post 7570.  He worked as a Drywall Finisher for Commercial Drywall System for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene (Settles) Gabbard, daughter Kristen (Louis) Lane of Oldenburg, IN and son Bruce Gabbard Jr. of Phoenix, AZ, step daughters Janie (Brandon) Waddell of Brookville, IN and Amanda (Joe) of Clarksburg, IN; grandson Logan Gabbard; several step grandchildren and one great grandson Roman Gabbard; along with his siblings, Mike, Donna & Barbara.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Allen and Sister Carol.

His wishes were to be cremated.  A celebration of life will be held January 6, 2018 from 1 to 5 pm at the American Legion Post 271 in Batesville

Memorials may be made to the funeral home to help the family offset the funeral costs.
