Burton Lloyd Schwettman, age 95 of Cincinnati, OH passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2015 in Batesville, IN. The son of Harry and Christine (nee Light) Schwettman was born on January 23, 1920 in Cincinnati, OH. Burton was a US Army Veteran who served during WWII. He retired from Tek Inc. a manufacturing company for steel mill equipment, where he worked as a Division Manager. Burton was really into sports when he was younger. He loved to golf and bowl. In fact, he kept right on bowling until he was 92 and stayed golfing until 93. Burton was married to Rita Burkhart, she passed away in 1966 and then remarried Betty Ballard until she preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Arend, sons Richard (Patrice) Schwettman of Fairfield, OH and Thomas (Patti) Schwettman of Batesville, IN; grandchildren David Schwettman & Barbara Gibbs, Jason & Brian Schwettman and Kirsten Davidson; step-grandchildren Mary Katherine Kozusko, Joseph Kozusko; great grandchildren Tegan Schwettman, Ian Schwettman, Nash, Bricklin, Crosley, Opel & Delorean Gibbs and Ben, Maggie, Anna & Katie Schwettman, Andy Lewis and Haley & Jake Davidson. He was preceded in death by his brother Harry Schwettman and sister Marian Owen. Graveside services will be held 11:00am on Monday, July 13, 2015 at Old St. Joseph Cemetery in Cincinnati, OH.
