Carlyn Vera Giesting, age 69 passed away Monday, August 3, 2015 at her home in Indianapolis, IN. Born November 9, 1945 in Batesville, IN she was the daughter of the late Harold & Eileen (Flodder) Steinkamp. Carlyn, a graduate of Batesville High School is survived by her daughter Shelley Giesting and her son Ryan Giesting both of Indianapolis. She will also be missed by her brother Bill Steinkamp of Columbus, IN and sisters Sue Abplanalp of Greensburg, IN and Jane Trenkamp of Monticello, IN. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Thomas Steinkamp. Visitation will be Saturday, August 8, 2015 from 1-2pm followed by a memorial service at 2pm at Meyers Funeral Home, Batesville, IN. Burial will be at a later date in St. John (Huntersville) Cemetery.
