Carol J. Dickey, age 76 years of Batesville, IN passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2005 in Batesville, IN. Born October 13, 1928 in Batesville, IN she was the daughter of the late Irvin G. & Augusta J. (Kaiser) Schein. She married Ronald Dickey on January 6, 1945. She was a member of the Batesville United Methodist Church, Past President of the Ripley County Republican Women's Club, Ripley County Republican Woman of the Year 1999, Eastern Star Past Worthy Matron and VFW Legislative Coordinator. Mrs. Dickey is survived by her husband Ronald Dickey Sr.; children Janice Koeneman of Grand Rapids, MI; Dale Dickey of Batesville, IN; Bill Dickey of Loveland, OH; Cindy Linville of Batesville, IN; Dan Dickey of Batesville, IN; Amy Lauber of Osgood, IN; Deb Rozales of Indianapolis, IN; Kerry Dickey of Batesville, IN; Kim Hastings of Indianapolis, IN; Carron Elser of Cincinnati, OH; Ronald L. Dickey, Jr of Batesville, IN; Michele Eich of Crystal Lake, IL and Andrea Wade of Cincinnati, OH; brother William Schein of Milan, IN; 24 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, May 6, 2005 from 4-8pm at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville, IN with VFW Auxiliary & Eastern Star Services. Funeral Services will be Saturday, May 7, 2005; 10:30 AM at Batesville United Methodist Church with Rev. Larry Marhanka officiating. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Batesville, IN. Memorials are suggested to Rescue 10 or Batesville United Methodist Church.
