Carol Anne Wiley, 72, of Metamora, passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025. She was born on January 11, 1953, in Millville, Ohio, the daughter of John and Eileen (Fetzer) Wiley.

She lived a life marked by hard work and care for others. She began her career as a research chemist, later found joy working outdoors as a golf course groundskeeper, and eventually devoted her days to helping others by cleaning homes. She loved tending to her garden and took pride in canning the fruits of her labor. Known for her kindness and generosity, she cherished her friends deeply and was always a devoted caretaker to those around her.

Carol is survived by her loving husband, William "Bill" Godfrey; nephew, Ian Wiley; niece, Megan Wiley; great nephew, Wyatt; and great niece, Vera.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers: Michael and John Wiley.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. As Carol was the secretary of the Franklin County Democratic Party, the family requests a donation in lieu of flowers.
