Carolyn Margaret Koester (nee Emsweller), age 76 years of Batesville, IN passed away Sunday, August 1, 2004 at her home in Batesville. Born February 14, 1928 in Laurel, IN; the daughter of Doyle & Merle (Lockwood) Emsweller. She married Charles Koester on March 3, 1946 in Richmond, IN and he preceded her on July 29, 1992. Mrs. Koester was a member of St. John United Church of Christ, a homemaker and retired from the Keg and Kettle, Vinney's, Cheers and Woodwinds. She is survived by her sons Michael (Marilyn) Koester of Columbus, IN; Robert (Rae) Koester of Batesville, IN and David (Beth) Koester of Batesville, IN. She will also be missed by her grandchildren Jason, Melissa & Gavin Koester; sister Lois (Late Bill) Ault of Newnan, GA and brother Rev. Bob (Rosemary) Emsweller of Savannah, GA. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her brother Carson (Jean) Emsweller, she lives in Hamilton, OH. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 4, 2004 from 4 8 pm at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville. Funeral Services will be Thursday, August 5th at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Rev. Charles Flory officiating. Burial will be in St. John (Huntersville) Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to American Heart Assoc. or Batesville Rescue 10.
