Charles Behlmer, 82 years of Batesville, IN passed away Sunday, February 22, 2004 at The Waters in Batesville. He was born July 16, 1921 in Batesville, IN; the son of Frank & Molly (Johnson) Behlmer. He married Dorothy M. (Nugent) on October 26, 1946 in Bright, IN and she preceded him in death. Mr. Behlmer is survived by his son Gerald Behlmer of Blytheville, AR; daughters Teri Artley of Elkhart, IN; Susie McFall of Greensburg, IN ad Sherrie Behlmer of Batesville, IN; 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by his brother Herbert Behlmer and an infant brothers. He was a retired foreman at Batesville Casket Co., former Scout Master Troop 634, former Jaycee, US Army Veteran of WWII; member of Southeastern Umpires Assoc., Southeastern Indiana Shrine Club, Murat Shrine, Scottish Rite of Indianapolis, Batesville VFW, Oldest member of the 12 step program and the Milan Logde 31 F&AM. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, February 25, 2004; 10:00 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church Crossroads with Pastor Robin Owen officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 24, 2004 from 5-8 PM with Masonic Services at 8:00 PM all at Meyers Funeral Home, Batesville, IN. Burial will be in St. Mark Church Cemetery.
