Charles Edward Ostendorf, age 87 years of New Point, IN passed away Saturday, October 13, 2007 in Greensburg, IN. Born December 25, 1919 in Madeira,OH he was the son of the late Carl & Mary Ostendorf. He retired from US Shoe in Harrison, OH & was also a life long farmer. He was a US Army veteran during WWII. He married Margaret Simon in January 1945. Mr. Ostendorf is survived by his children Larry (Carol) Ostendorf of Greensburg, IN; Dale Ostendorf of Napoleon, IN; Keith (Debbie) Ostendorf of New Point, IN Gary (Linda) Ostendorf of New Point, IN & Donna Young of Greensburg, IN. He will also be missed by 11 grandchildren & 11 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Ostendorf, brothers Walt, Bill, Harold & Tommy Ostendorf & 1 grandson. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 16, 2007 from 9:30-11:00 am followed by services at 11:00 am all at New Point Christian Church with Pastor Mark Vice officiating. Burial will be in Smyrna Lutheran Church Cemetery with military graveside rites.
