Chris was born in Dayton, Ohio to Jessie Belle (nee Squires) and Christopher Schumacher, Sr. on June 4, 1941. He is the beloved husband of Linda (nee Jenkins) Schumacher; devoted father of Tina (the late Dennis) Turner, Kim (Eric) VonBargen and Christopher Clinton Schumacher, III; cherished grandfather of Ethan VonBargen, Alex Turner, Kurtis VonBargen, Elise Turner and Konnor VonBargen; dear brother of Norma (the late Dr. Thomas) Sefton. Formerly of Batesville, IN he passed away on March 15, 2023 with funeral services held in Cincinnati on March 25th.

Chris taught math at Cutter Jr. High, Taft High School, White Oak Jr. High and Northwest High School; he also enjoyed his time as the wrestling coach at Taft High School, White Oak Jr. High and Northwest High School. He had a passion for fishing, especially when he could take his grandchildren, and he also enjoyed going on fishing trips with his buddies. Chris loved to also travel with Linda to Canada, the Great Lakes, Cruises and anywhere with water and great fishing. Back at home, he loved to spend time working with Linda in his home vegetable garden.

Graveside services will be 10:00am on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at United Methodist Church Cemetery in Batesville.  Rev. Chris Renick officiating.
