Dale Edwin Gunter, age 71 years of Batesville, IN passed away Saturday, December 24, 2005 in Indianapolis, IN. Born October 3, 1934 in Batesville he was the son of the late Vernon & Edna (Richter) Gunter. He owned & operated Dale Gunter Excavating for 52 years, was a farmer and an avid outdoorsman. He married Eileen Hornberger on June 1, 1957 at St. Jacobs in Blue Creek. Mr. Gunter is survived by his wife Eileen Gunter, sons Gary, Roger "Idy" & David "Zell" Gunter and daughter Diane Moore all of Batesville, IN. He will also be missed by his grandchildren Keith, Jeff, Shannon & Jenna Gunter, Kyle & Becky Denni and Vickie Schuman; brothers Mervin, Harold, Estal & Kendall Gunter all of Batesville, IN and sisters Velma Belter and LaVonne Huber both of Sunman, IN. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Allen & Bobby Jean Gunter. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 27, 2005 from 4-8pm at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville, IN. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at 10:00 am at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville with Pastor William Powlen officiating. Memorials may be directed to Adams Lutheran Church or The Hansen Center c/o the funeral home.
