Daniel Edward Fenske, age 58 of Batesville, IN passed away Friday, December 07, 2012 at Margaret Mary Community Hospital in Batesville. Born January 21, 1954 in Batesville, he was the son of the late Albert Edward & Lilly Josephine (Daugherty) Fenske. The 1972 graduate of Sunman High School was currently employed at Hill-Rom as a machinist for 40 years. He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He was a family man, loved to golf, and he was an avid fan of baseball, especially the Cincinnati Reds. He enjoyed coaching his daughter Erin in baseball when she was a child. He also enjoyed playing co-ed ball with his adult sons Stan and Steve, making several trips to Canada to play in tournaments. He also enjoyed league bowling. Dan found great joy in doing things with his only granddaughter Emma and watching her grow. He loved hosting parties for extended family and friends. If you really knew Dan you would know that he loved watching movies and television, especially Science Fiction. Daniel married Kathy Tara on April 28, 1984 and she preceded him in death on October 3, 1986. He then married Wanda Hedrick-Lomeli on April 1, 1989 and she survives. He is also survived by his daughter Erin (Forrest) Daily of Greenwood, AR; sons Steve Lomeli of Batesville, IN & Stan (Margo) Lomeli of Batesville, IN; granddaughter Emma Lomeli; sisters Sue Dickman of Batesville, IN & Karen Fenske of Greensburg, IN; brother Tim Fenske of Greensburg, IN and several nieces & nephews. Visitation will be Sunday, December 9, 2012 from 3-7pm with Rosary at 7pm at Meyers Funeral Home, Batesville, IN. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, December 10, 2012 at 10:00am at St. Louis Catholic Church in Batesville with Fr. Carl Hawver officiating. Burial will be in St. Louis Church Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Gibault School for Boys or Cancer Research c/o Meyers Funeral Home, Batesville, IN.
