Daryl "Mike" Ireland, 66, of Osgood, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home with his wife by his side on Saturday, July 2, 2022. Mike was born in 1956 in Cincinnati, Ohio, son of the late Sylvia Brown and Donald Ireland.

Mike was a part of the first graduating class of East Central High School in 1974. He was employed by the Sunman Dearborn School Corporation for over 30 years and was well respected by many staff and students.

Mike loved the outdoors. He was happiest when he was hunting, fishing, watching basketball, enjoying his property, and spending time with his beloved family and friends.

Mike is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Joanie Ireland; 3 sons, Jason (Andrea) Ireland, Jake (Lauren) Ireland, and Dave (Hannah) Bumgardner; 2 daughters, Jessie (Terry) Hornberger, and Amy (Matt) Fox; 4 sisters; 1 brother; 13 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Mike will be deeply missed by his wife, children, family, and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at RomWeber Market Place located at 120 South Depot Street, Batesville, Indiana 47006. Those who would like to pay their respects should enter the entrance off of South Depot Street. The entry door for the Celebration of Life is beneath a sign for Sunshine Sisters on Depot Street across from Big Four Café.
