Obituary

Dolories Norma (Firsich) Krieger of Batesville, IN passed away Friday, March 14, 2014 at the age of 87. She was born in Batesville on August 22, 1926, the daughter of Raymond and Martha (Goyert) Firsich.

In 1944 she graduated from Batesville High School and played on their first girls High School Softball Team. On May 18, 1946 she married Frederick Krieger at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Crossroads in Batesville, IN. She was a good farm wife and homemaker for her family, living on their farm in Batesville for over 65 years.

Dolories was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Crossroads where she taught Sunday School, sang in the church choir, was a member of Lutheran League, Ladies Aid and Church Women United. She was also a charter member and strong lifetime supporter of the New Horizon Service Guild.

Dolories is survived by her loving children Kathleen (John) Westerfeld, sons Eugene (Mary Lou), Fred A. (Ann), Douglas (Esther) & Robert (Anita) Krieger; 17 Grandchildren; 30 Great Grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; brother, Thomas Firsich, aunt Pat Westerfeld and several nieces & nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, brother Alvin Firsich, sister Florine Dillon, infant daughter Rebecca and daughter-in-law Kathleen (Kessens) Krieger.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 18, 2014 from 4-8pm at Meyers Funeral Home, Batesville, IN. Funeral Service will be 10:30am on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Crossroads. Pastor William Powlen will officiate. Burial will follow in the St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to the Church Cemetery Fund or New Horizons Service Guild.
