Donald Clinton Wolford, age 83 years of Batesville, IN passed away Sunday, September 25, 2005 in Cincinnati, OH. Born May 28, 1922 in Decatur County, IN he was the son of the late Walter & Bonnie (Bostic) Wolford. He was a US Army Veteran of WWII serving in the Pacific. He was a life member of the VFW #3183 in Batesville and FOE #1130 in Batesville. He married Mary Hammerle on May 30, 1948 and she passed away on May 10, 1981. He then married Ida Johnston on October 15, 1983 and she passed away on August 3, 2005. Mr. Wolford is survived by his son Gary (Karen) Wolford of New Point, IN and daughters Linda (Brad) Fassnacht of West Lafayette, IN and Barbara (Melvin) Krieger of Batesville, IN. He will also be missed by his grandchildren Ann Narwold, Brian Krieger, Emily Wolford, Keith Budzynski and Brandy Akin and 5 great grandchildren and brother Maurice Wolford of New Point, IN. In addition to his parents and wives he was preceded in death by his brother Merrill Wolford. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 28, 2005 from 5-8pm at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville, IN. Funeral Services will be Thursday, September 29, 2005 at 10:00 am at the funeral home with Rev. Mark Vice officiating. Burial will be in St. John Church Cemetery, Enochsburg , IN with Military Graveside Rites. Memorials are suggested to the VFW Cancer Fund.
