Dorothy "Dot" Meyer, age 93 years of Batesville, IN passed away Easter Sunday, April 4, 2010 at St. Andrews Health Campus in Batesville. Born July 12, 1916 in Penntown, IN she was the daughter of the late John & Elizabeth (Schaler) Mosmeier.

Dotgraduated from Sunman High School. She married Calvert "Cab" Meyer on April 9, 1944 at St. John Church, Penntown, IN. She was member of St. John United Church of Christ Penntown where she attended Sunday School since 1920 until she turned 92years of age. She was also a member of the church Ladies Aid and secretary for the Ladies Aid for 39 years.

Dot liked to write letters and send cards to people. She also liked poems and to read a lot. Most of all, she enjoyed being with her family. Her house was filled with pictures, mostly of her granddaughters and great grandchildren. She will be missed by all very much.

Mrs. Meyer is survived by her daughter Carol Ann (Dave) Raver of Batesville, IN; granddaughters Renee (Jeff) Schwegman & Kathy (Charlie) Cruz both of Indianapolis, IN and great grandchildren Laine & Ty Schwegman and Lilah Cruz. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband on Jan. 2, 1999 and her brother Edwin Mosmeier.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 7, 2010 from5-8pm at Meyers Funeral Home and Thursday, April 8, 2010 from 10-11am at St. John United Church of Christ Penntown with services starting at 11:00am with Rev. Judy Doll officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
