Simmonds, Earl Stanley Jr., husband of 64 yrs. to Florence (Gerstner) Simmonds; son of the late Dr. Earl & Katherine (Althaus) Simmonds Sr.; brother of Virginia Salisbury, St. Petersburg, FL; Father of Russ (Brenda) Simmonds of Plano, TX, Char (Christoph) Lichtenfeld, Chicago, IL and Kay (Allen) Bornemann, Cincinnati, OH; grandfather of Jennifer & Matthew Bornemann, Audrey Benes, Heidi Kussurelis, Aaron, Nathan, Liza & David Lichtenfeld; and greatgrandfather of five, died Thurs., March 24, 2005 at home on his farm in Miamitown at age 89. He graduated with a degree in Animal Husbandry from Ohio State University and was a life long farmer. He enjoyed involvement in numerous farm organizations, including Farm Bureau Council, Hamilton Co. Fair Board, Soil Conservation, 4-H, etc. For over 60+ years he was active in the Miamitown Methodist Church and recently began attending the Crosby United Methodist Church. Also, a 60 year member of the Columbia Lodge #44 F&AM. Private services are planned for Saturday, March 26, 2005 at the Crosby United Methodist Church. Memorials may be given to the Shrine Hospital Burns Unit, 3229 Burnet Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45229 or charity of one's choice.
