Edward William Fields, Jr age 80, died peacefully on Saturday, April 23, 2011. He was born on January 22, 1931 in Chicago, IL to the late Edward & Lillian (Sundholm) Fields. He was a 1949 graduate of Tildon Tech High School in Chicago, IL. He is survived by his wife of 59 years Willette (Sloan) Fields. They have 5 children, 5 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Mildred Oliver. Local folks may remember Ed when he worked at Kroger for 6 years. Memorial services are planned for Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. John United Church of Christ Huntersville, with Rev. David Johnston officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society or St. John UCC in memory of Ed.
