Elizabeth Eva Jane Hersley, age 78 of Greensburg, IN passed away Tues. August 10, 2010 in Greensburg. Born March 29, 1932 in Batesville, IN she was the daughter of the late Michael & Alice (Meredith) Glaub. She was a volunteer candy striper for Margaret Mary Community Hospital in the 1940's. She was a member of the Bethel Apostolic Church in Greensburg. Elizabeth loved to cook & feed everybody. She loved to listen to music and liked to go camping and to garage sales. She was always one to worry about everyone else but most of all, she was a loving wife, mother & grandmother who they will miss very much. Mrs. Hersley is survived by her husband Richard Hersley Sr.; children Rosalie (James) Smothers of Shelbyville, IN; Rebecca Lunsford of Muncie, IN; Carolyn (Rodney) Jacobs of Versailles, IN; Alice (James) White of Greensburg, IN; William Hersley of Richmond, IN & Thomas (Kim) Hersley of Aurora, IN. She will also be missed by her 19 grandchildren 34 great grandchildren & 3 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Richard Hersley Jr., siblings Nicholas & Michael Glaub and Mary Miller, and 4 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, August 13, 2010 from 12pm until time of services at 2pm all at Meyers Funeral Home, Batesville, IN with Bro. Glenn Seaman officiating. Burial will be in Rossburg Cemetery in New Point, IN. Memorials are suggested to the family.
