Elizabeth "Betty" Margaret Jobst, age 85 of Batesville, IN passed away Sunday, May 22, 2011 at St. Andrews Health Campus in Batesville. Born May 30, 1925 in Batesville, she was the daughter of the late Jesse & Alma (Walters) Hoff. She married Robert Jobst on February 27, 1946 at St John United Church of Christ Huntersville where she was currently a member, former Sunday School teacher, Junior Youth helper, Bible School helper and in her early years, sang in the church choir. Betty was a secretary for her husband with Standard Oil and later worked for Dr. Robert Rock. The graduate of Sunman High School was a Reds fan but going to see her grandchildren in sports came first. She liked to play cards and watch "All My Children". She collected angels, was an excellent cook and loved to do gardening. Betty is survived by her husband of 65 years, Robert Jobst; sons Steve & Randy (Angele) Jobst and daughters Sandy (Whitey) Weberding and Pam (Dave) Amberger all of Batesville, IN. She will also be missed by her sister, Rosella Hornberger of Lawrenceville, IN; grandchildren Matt & Brad Weberding, Kellie Warnecke, Erin Bishop, Davin Jobst, Dominique Siebert, Shay Jobst & Trey Jobst and great grandchildren Christian, Keegan, Kailey, Claire, Carson & Bella Weberding, Lauren Jobst & Dakota Siebert. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 25, 2011 from 4-8pm at St. John United Church of Christ. Funeral Services will be Thursday at 10:00am at the church with Rev. David Johnston officiating. Burial will be in St. John Church Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to American Heart Assoc. or American Cancer Society c/o the funeral home.
