Elsie M. Huneke Kile High, age 90 of Cincinnati, OH passed away June 13, 2011 at Brighton Gardens in St. Charles, IL. Born August 12, 1920 in Batesville, IN. she was the daughter of the late Alonzo J. "Lonnie" and Mildred (Bultman) Huneke. She was an active member of the Cincinnati Pops volunteer group, working many of their concerts and a member of the Queen City Crimson Belles of Cincinnati, a chapter of the Red Hat Society. Elsie worked as a volunteer at the Cincinnati Children's Hospital in the sewing room, where she made clothes, dolls and quilts for the hospitalized children. She received her 1000 hour pin in recognition of her services. Elsie is survived by her daughters Jane (Ed) Mills of Batavia, OH, Diana (John) Peloza of Federal Way, WA, Anita Ainsworth of Batavia, IL and her 2nd husband's daughter Joy Brady of Cincinnati, OH; her brother John (Claire) Huneke of Louisville, KY and sister Mary Lou (Arnie) Wehr of Greensburg, IN; four grandchildren Katherine (Nicholas) Baeth of Lee's Summit, MO, Abby (James) Brown of San Antonio, TX, Jon Kile Peloza of Portland, OR, Jake Ainsworth of Batavia, IL and great-grandson Cooper Brown of San Antonio, TX. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband John C. Kile and second husband Selden F. High. Visitation will be June 16, 2011 from 12:00 PM until time of services at 1:00 PM at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville, with Pastor Robin Owen of St. Paul Lutheran Church officiating. Memorials are suggested to the National Kidney Foundation at www.kidney.org. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Brookville, IN.
