Estal Eugene "Bud" Huneke, age 76 years of Nicholasville, KY formerly of Batesville, IN passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2008 in Lexington, KY. Born January 8, 1932 in Batesville, he was the son of the late Irvin & Edna (Miller) Huneke. He was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Batesville, retired from New Point Stone as a heavy equipment operator & was a US Navy Veteran of Korea. He married Faye Warren-Yarber on June 28, 1975 in Mt. Sterling, KY. Mr. Huneke is survived by his daughters Wendy Ray of Hilliard, OH; Tracy Michaels of Fishers, IN & Kealan Huneke of Nicholasville, KY; son Keagan Huneke of Apache, OK; step daughters Andrea Armentrout of Lexington, KY; Scottie Lizer of Nicholasville, KY & Kelli Vansweringen of Rainbow City, AL and stepson Derek Yarber of Batesville, IN; brother Wayne Huneke of Bellaire Bluffs, FL; sisters Lois Neyer, Joyce Meyer & Jan Collins all of Batesville, IN. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Faye Huneke and sister Maxine Kern. Visitation will be Saturday, March 29, 2008 from 10am-1pm followed by services at 1pm at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville, IN with Rev. Alan Mears & Rev. David Johnston officiating. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery with military graveside rites. Memorials are suggested to Kealan Huneke's Education Fund.
