Florine Eldridge, age 74 of Batesville, IN passed away Sunday, April 7, 2013 at her home. Born October 30, 1938 in Batesville, IN she was the daughter of Charles & Georgie (Jordon) Smith. She was married to the love of her life, Clinton Eldridge on May 5, 1956 in Sunman, IN. They were married nearly 57 years. Florine was a 20 year employee at Batesville Casket Co. until she retired in 1998. She was a member of Westchester Old Regular Baptist Church in West Chester, OH since 1972. She and Clinton were ordained Deacon & Deaconess since 1974. Florine is survived by her children Charles Eugene (Regina) Eldridge of Dillsboro, IN, Clinton Alvis (Jennifer) Eldridge of Manchester, IN, Angela Sue (Tom) Rowlett of Lawrenceburg, IN, Forster Keith (Peg) Eldridge of Cartersville, GA, Georgette (Charles) Eldridge of Greendale, IN & David Wayne (Loria) of Lawrenceburg, IN. She will also be missed by 16 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and sisters Dorine Kash of Milan, IN, Donnie (Larry) Thomas of Florence, IN, and Diane Edwards of Olean, IN. She was preceded in death by her sister Carolyn Smith and brothers James & Charles Jr. Smith along with two grandchildren. Visitation, Thursday, April 11, 2013 from 11am until time of services at 1pm at Meyers Funeral Home, Batesville, IN with Bill Halcomb, Jeff Brown & Jim T. Caudill officiating. Burial will be in Little Memory Cemetery, Sunman, IN. Memorials are suggested to Margaret Mary Hospital Hospice or Kidney Foundation c/o Meyers Funeral Home.
