Ford Firestone Wilder, age 93 of Batesville, Indiana passed away on Monday, March 12, 2018 at his home.  The son of TJ and Daisey (Helton) Wilder was born on October 14, 1924 in Owsley County, Kentucky.  He was one of five siblings.

On November 27, 1948 Ford married Marilyn Prince in Woodridge, NJ.  His wife of 67 years, preceded him in death on May 28, 2016. Ford was a proud US Navy Veteran of WWII.  He retired from Hill-Rom as the Executive Director of Engineering of architectural products.

He is survived by his daughter Cathy Wilder; two sons Keith and Glenn Wilder; 8 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by his two sons Gary and Craig Wilder.

His wishes were to be cremated, so he and his wife could be buried at sea where he lost several of his shipmates.
