Harold "Rick" Richard Rollins, age 61 of Batesville, IN passed away Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Margaret Mary Community Hospital in Batesville. Born December 27, 1950 in Batesville to Harold F. & Marcella (Carter) Rollins, she survives in Reno, Nevada. He became a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force while serving from 1970-1974. On September 9, 1972 he married Deborah Kay Dobbs in Chesterfield, IN. After 40 years Harold retired from Hill-Rom, Inc. as a Safety Environmental Engineer. Following retirement he worked Security for Jawacdah Farms and did some consulting as an Environmental Engineer for Hill-Rom. Harold was a member of St. John United Church of Christ and the Batesville F&AM Lodge #668. He will be truly missed by his wife, Deborah; son Christopher Allen (Melissa) Rollins of Versailles, IN; daughter, Lisa Rollins of California; one grandson & one granddaughter; along with his siblings, Tommy Rollins, Gary Norton, Eddie Norton, Debbie Lani, Tammy Davis, Linda Hensley, Donna Rollins & Lisa Cappuro and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and one son, Chad Douglas Rollins. Visitation, Wednesday, February 15, 2012 from 4-8pm at Meyers Funeral Home, Batesville, IN with Masonic Service at 8pm. Funeral Service, 11:00am on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at St. John United Church of Christ, Huntersville, with Military Honors to follow. Rev. David Johnston officiating.
