Huber Henry Poske, age 83 years of Batesville, IN passed away Sunday, August 28, 2005 at Margaret Mary Hospital in Batesville. Born September 29, 1921 in Batesville he was the son of the late Fred & Ethel (Huber) Poske. He retired from the Batesville Casket Co. in 1985 as Regional Sales Manager and was also former owner/operator of Poske Hardware, Poske Fine Furniture & Poske Ford. Mr. Poske was a 70 year member of the Eureke Band with is going to play at church and also member of the Batesville Lodge 668 F&AM, Scottish Rite of Indianapolis and Murat Shrine of Indianapolis. He married Doris Heitzman on January 10, 1942 in Batesville. He was a member of the St. Mark Lutheran Church in Batesville. Mr. Poske is survived by his wife Doris Poske, daughter Carol (Gary) Roberts of Dayton, MD; sons Dan (Bev) Poske of Indianapolis, IN and Bill Poske of Birmingham, AL. He will also be missed by his grandchildren Jill Carlson, Ryan, Matthew, Charles, William & Margaret Poske; great grandchildren Cassidy & Nation Poske and sister Alice Allen of Ypsilanti, MI. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 30, 2005 from 4-7pm at Meyers Funeral Home with Masonic Services at 7:00pm. Funeral Services will be Wed. Aug. 31, 2005 at 10:00am at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Batesville with Rev. David Smith officiating. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery in Penntown, IN. Memorials are suggested to Shriners Burns Institute or Wernle Children Home in Richmond, IN.
