James Harold Colley, age 78 years of Greensburg, IN formerly Gadsden, AL passed away peacefully surrounded by love on Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at his granddaughters home in Greensburg, IN. Born February 24, 1930 in St. Clair County, AL to Burl Lester & Georgia (Barron) Colley. He worked in the Pima Copper Mines in Tucson, AZ. After that he opened and ran the Country Music Store in Tucson. He was in a band called Shadow Mountain Boys and was known as Dobro Jim. He was an avid gardener and served in the US Army during Korea. He married Edna Marie Rector in Rising Sun, GA on July 5, 1947. She passed away on October 6, 2007. Mr. Colley is survived by his step mother Myrtle Colley of Decatur, AL; sons Harold (Judy) Colley & Norman (Wanda) Colley of Greensburg, IN; grandchildren John, Jessie, Dallas, Phyllis & Mattie Colley, Trudy Huter, Toby Justin and Tracy Neimeyer; 22 great grandchildren & brother Joe Colley of Decatur, AL. In addition to his parents & wife, he was preceded in death by his son James David (Edith) Colley of New Point, IN & brother Larry Colley. Visitation will be Saturday, December 29, 2007 from 1-3pm followed by services at 3:00 PM at Greensburg Community Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Perry Cook officiating. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Decatur County.
