James Roy Stapleton, age 69 of W. Harrison, IN passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Mercy Medicenter in Harrison, OH. Born January 10, 1944 in Richmond, KY he was the son of the late Bill Stapleton & Viola (Dunaway) Gibbs. James served his country in the US Army. James is survived by his son Steve (Joy) Stapleton of Sunman, IN & his daughter Pauline King of Irvin, KY. He will also be missed by his grandchildren Steven, Josh, Megan & Zachary, one great grandson & siblings Earl (Dixie) Stapleton, Junior (Josephine) Stapleton, Ron (Pat) Lewelln, Betty Rains and Janet (Jay) Gala. He was preceded in death by his wife Rita Sue (Trainor) Stapleton and siblings Bob Stapleton, Faye Adams and Sue Gibbs. Services for Mr. Stapleton will be private at the convenience of the family.
