Janet Kay Kruse, age 69 of Batesville, IN passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. Born January 12, 1943 in Ft. Wayne, IN she was the daughter of Robert & Reuth Greub. She married James Kruse on August 5, 1967 in Ft. Wayne, IN. Mrs. Kruse graduated from Ball State University and was an educator/school principal for Jac-Cen-Del School System. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Crossroads where she also served as the church secretary & treasurer for many years. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, reading & volunteering in her community and just recently worked at the 2012 election polls. Mrs. Kruse is survived by her nieces & nephews: Diane & Jim Buffenbarger, and their children, Cole & Mallory; Laura & KC Laubacher, and their children, Seth, Rachael, Gretchen, and Jake; Christopher & Lisa Olney, and their children Emily & Conner; Jennifer & Ted Zahn; and Nathan Kruse. She is also survived by Barbara & Allen Olney, Kenneth & Barbara Kruse, Joanne Grueb and very good friend Clarence "Bud" McGowan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Kruse, her brother Ronald Grueb, sister Barbara Grueb, and nephew Jefferey Grueb. Visitation will be Sunday, November 18, 2012 from 12noon 2pm followed by services at 2pm all at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Crossroads with Rev. Chad Adamik officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul's Church Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Ripley County Community Foundation.
