Janet "Jan" Marie Wiedeman, age 68 years of Batesville, IN passed away Sunday, September 28, 2008 at her home. Born April 9, 1940 in Reading, OH, she was the daughter of the late William & Ida Mae (Bates) Rulfs. She married Pete Wiedeman on Dec. 27, 1975 in Greendale, IN Mrs. Wiedeman was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Penntown, IN; Beta Sigma Phi Sorority; belonged to various Bridge Clubs & loved to play golf. She graduated from Reading High School in 1958 and received her teaching degree from Miami University in Ohio and her Masters Degree from University of Cincinnati. She taught school at Sunman Elementary, Central Elementary in Lawrenceburg, IN & North Dearborn Elementary. She is survived by her husband Pete Wiedeman, sons Jeff (Maggie) Wood of Shelbyville, IN & Matt (Mandy) Wiedeman of Batesville, IN; daughters Wendy (Jeff) Hauteman of Mason, OH, Michelle (Jeff) Blasdel of Columbus, IN & Marsha (Brent) Robinson of Lawrenceburg, IN. She will also be missed by her grandchildren Ashley & Abby Wood, McKenna & Ally Hauteman, Jacob, Janelle & Jason Blasdel, Alexis & McKenzie Robinson, Josh & Jessie Wiedeman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Jerry Rulfs. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 30, 2008 from 4-8pm at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville, IN. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at 10:00am at St. John UCC in Penntown with Rev. Peter Frye officiating. Burial will be in the Methodist Cemetery in Batesville. Memorials are suggested to Phi Beta Psi Sorority for Cancer Research or Margaret Mary Hospital Hospice.
