Jean Bedford Gessner, age 82 years Goshen, IN formerly of Batesville, IN passed away Thursday evening, June 8, 2006 at Greencroft Nursing Home in Goshen. Born September 2, 1923 in Elizabeth, NJ she was the daughter of the late Leonard & Ethel (Lerf) Lentz. She married Michael Andrew Gessner on February 2, 1946 in Elmora, NJ. She was a member of St. John UCC (Huntersville) and PSI IOTA XI Sorority at Crown Point, IN Mrs. Gessner is survived by her daughters Susan Stark of Goshen, IN and Jill Rollins of Valparaiso, IN; 3 grandsons & 2 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband. Memorials services will be Saturday, June 24, 2006 at 10:30 A.M. at St. John UCC with Rev. David Johnston officiating. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. John UCC c/o the funeral home.
