Jeanette Elizabeth Bedel, age 77 years of Batesville, IN passed away Sunday, May 28, 2006 at her home in Batesville. Born October 10, 1928 in Batesville she was the daughter of the late Bertrand & Olivia (Ferkenhoff) Bentfield. She graduated from Batesville High School in 1946 and retired from Hill-Rom as administrative assistant in 1993. She married Martin "Punkin" Bedel on October 14, 1953 and was a member of St. Louis Church in Batesville. Mrs. Bedel is survived by her daughters Marta Roell of Batesville, IN and Pat Ertel of Batesville, IN; son Jeff Bedel of Batesville, IN; grandchildren Jason Roell, Megan Roell & Jenna Ertel; sister Doris Prentice of Batesville, IN; brothers Charles Bentfield of Batesville, IN and Tim Bentfield of Floyds Knob, IN. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister Wanda Bentfield. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 31, 2006 from 5-8 P.M. at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville, IN. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, June 1, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Louis Church in Batesville, IN with Fr. Bernard Varghese officiating. Burial will be in St. Louis Cemetery.
