Obituary

Jimmy Darrel Jacobs, age 57 of Versailles, IN formerly of North Vernon, IN passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at South Central Indiana Hospice in Columbus, IN. Born February 2, 1956 in Knott County, KY he was the son of the late Noah Sr. & Amy (Slone) Jacobs. Jimmy loved life. He grew up in a home with 7 other brothers and sisters. He had many interest, he enjoyed fixing things and also a good carpenter and mechanic. He had the ability to do anything he wanted to do. In the past year he purchased a motorcycle he fixed it up so he could ride. He loved the wind and the feeling of freedom his motorcycle gave him. He enjoyed fishing with his Grandkids and helping them take the fish off the hook. He loved them all very much. Jimmy learned to play a guitar from his father when he was a young boy. We loved to hear him play. He never learned to read music and played only by ear. He missed his Mother and Father so much. He had a big heart and he opened it to all of us. He had a difficult time expressing his feelings but in the end he was sure of Gods love for him and he knew that we all loved him very much and we knew he loved us. Jimmy is survived by his sons Jimmy Jr., & Jeremy Jacobs and their mother Angie (Peterson) McCubbins, step son Michael Peterson, several grandchildren, nieces & nephews. He will also be missed by his sisters Carol Seals, JoAnne Seibert, Willa Burns, Gloria Asche, & Nora Pennington and brothers Noah Jacobs Jr. & Rodney Jacobs.
