Elizabeth "Joanne" Wagner Joanne Wagner, 63, of Laurel, Indiana, formerly of Batesville, died on Monday, February 26, 2007, at Blue Ash Hospice Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was born April 25, 1943, in Danville, Illinois, the daughter of Amos and Rosalie Hueston Carr. She grew up in Covington, Indiana, moving to Kentland where she graduated from Kentland High School in 1961 and attended Central Business College in Indianapolis. She became employed by Dr. Wallace Diehl of Indianapolis, as a veterinarian tech and office manager. She married Gerald Wagner on June 6, 1969 in Jellico, Kentucky. They resided in Batesville, Indiana. Later, she and Gerald moved to Laurel where she was employed at the White Water State Park. He died December, 2004. She was a member of the Batesville Assembly of God. She loved her son, David and his wife, Cathy, her grandchildren, Joshua and Sarah, her dog, Missy, nature, and serving the lord. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, David and Cathy Wagner of Greenfield, Indiana and two grandchildren, Joshua and Sarah Wagner. Also surviving are two sisters and one brother-in-law, Dona Babcock of Hesperia, California and Cindy and Mark Nagele of Sheldon, Illinois; two nieces and one nephew; special friends, Betty Gabbard of Greensburg, Indiana, Burma Howard of Brooklet, Georgia, and John and Mary Steele of Laurel. Joanne loved her family and friends, her pets and her flowers. She loved walking woods, mushroom hunting and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be missed by those whose lives she has touched. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald, her parents and one son, Tommy Wagner. Services will be held Friday, March 2, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Batesville Assembly of God Church with Pastor Kevin Bodey officiating. Memorials may be made for funeral expenses c/o the funeral home.
