Joseph Gregory Burns, 48, of Batesville passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2024, at IU Health University Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on April 22, 1976 in Covington, Kentucky as the son of Joseph John and Willadene Burns née Jacobs.

Joseph graduated from St. Henry District High School in Erlanger, Kentucky. He then went on to attend Northern Kentucky University where he earned a teaching degree with a masters in English. Joseph was an honorary musician.

He is survived by his wife, Kirsten Burns (née Anderson); son, Lucian; mother, Willadene Burns; sister, Michelle (Barry) Greene; nephews: Bennett and Clayton; and niece, Hadley.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph John Burns.
