Kean George Ollier, age 74 of Batesville, died Saturday, January 30, 2010 at St. Andrews Health Campus. Born on May 29, 1935 in Batesville, Indiana to Elmer and Eunice (Puccini) Ollier. The 1954 Batesville High School graduate married Ethel Klostermeyer on July 23, 1955 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Batesville. He was also a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church and retired from Batesville Casket Company in 2000. Kean had a lot of hobbies. He liked to fish, play cards and corn hole and really enjoyed traveling with his wife. Of course he loved riding his Goldwing motorcycle as well. Farming was another past time he thoroughly enjoyed and he really loved working on his own farm. The family laughs as they tell the story of how his claim to fame' occurred when he was in a stock car race once, but was told to slow down' by the officials. Their smiles reiterate the fact that it was his family though that he cared for the most, especially his grandchildren, who will miss him very much. He is survived by his wife, son Jeff (Mary ) Ollier of Batesville, 2 daughters Beth (Ron) Simons of Batesville and Holly (Patrick) O'Hara of Denver, CO; 6 grandchildren, Ted (Cathy) Ollier, Sarah (Jason) Young, Gail Fehrman, Scott (Mandi) Fehrman, Sarah (Andy) Neukam, and Sam Simons; 4 great grandchildren, Macy Young, Ayden Alvey, Shawn Neukam & Katie Neukam; and siblings, Vyona Borchelt, Terre Kinker & Guy Ollier. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother Rodney Ollier. Visitation Monday, February 1, 2010 from 4-8pm at Meyers Funeral Home, Batesville. Funeral Services, Tuesday, February 2, 10:00am at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Crossroads, in Batesville. Pastor Robin Owen officiating with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
