Kenneth Aaron Thie Jr., 38 years old of North Vernon, Indiana passed away on July 10, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital.  The son of Kenneth Sr. and Debora (Stanley) Thie was born on January 28, 1979 in Portsmouth, Virginia.

Ken worked for Walmart as Associate sales in Electronics since 2011.  He was a member of the VFW Auxiliary. Ken liked to spend time hunting, fishing and riding motorcycles.  He had a big heart and was willing to help anybody in need.  Ken helped work with the veterans, including once a year he would cook the meals for the picnic at VFW Vet Village in Florida.  According to his mother, he was basically a quiet person who worked hard and was always willing to help.

He is survived by his parents, Kenneth & Debora Thie of Largo, FL; sister Rebecca Mireles of Clearwater, Florida and his nephew Raymond Mireles of Largo, Florida.

A memorial mass will be held at 11:00am on July 18, 2017 at St. Paul Catholic Church in New Alsace, Indiana.  A service will also be held in Florida at a later date.    Meyers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
