LaDonna Mae Jordan passed away Friday, December 13, 2013 at her home in Manchester, IN at 70 years of age. Born on October 4, 1943 in Potoskey, Michigan to the late William & Helen (Stoll) Getty. She was a 1962 graduate of Manton High School in Michigan. In 2008 she retired from many years of service at Hill-Rom. LaDonna was a member of the New Testament Baptist Church in Penntown, IN. She was a survivor through the good and bad times. LaDonna always kept a good home and her children were well cared for. She even helped to raise her nephew Jim. LaDonna believed the children should attend church and saw that everyone made it there, including the grandchildren. Through it all LaDonna was always known as a joker to keep everyone smiling. She loved to pull pranks at holidays and birthdays. LaDonna also enjoyed taking her children and grandchildren traveling. Though most of all, her children remember her as a strong woman. Her daughter, Killian, recalls the day they received the cancer diagnosis, how her mother was so strong to tell her how she knew Kellian would be fine, though she wept and that she admired her strength, and Kellian knew it was all because of her mother. Loving mother of Kellian (Matthew) Neff and Raymond "Sonny" Jordan both of Manchester, IN, step-mother of Kimberly Brown of Seymour, IN and Kenny Ray Jordan of Friendship, IN, grandmother of Bella, Matthew, Emma, Monty, Ashley, Tyler, Summer & Kenny Ray; dear sister of Gerald Getty of Cadillac, MI, James Getty of Travers City, MI; beloved aunt of Jimmy, Tim, Pammie & Kim and sister-in-law of Edith Antill of Batesville, IN. Visitation, Tuesday, December 17 from 4-8pm at Meyers Funeral Home. Funeral Services 11:00am on Wednesday, December 18th at the New Testament Baptist Church in Penntown, IN. Pastor Andy Streit officiating with burial to follow in the New Busse Cemetery in Manchester, IN. Memorials may be given to the New Testament Baptist Church Youth Programs c/o the funeral home.
