Larry David McAllister Sr. born on January 8, 1947 in Lawrenceburg, IN at the family home, passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord on February 12, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. He was born to Arthur M. and Florence McAllister (nee Smith).

Larry, aka 'Brownie', retired from Hill-Rom after 39 years and loved to garden and ride his golf cart around the farm. He also loved to coach baseball for his son's team and loved celebrating many winning seasons with Larry Jr. and his friends. Larry loved his family fiercely and in the later years, his grandsons were the light of his life.

Larry is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Carol McAllister (nee Schneider); son, Larry David Jr. (Heather) McAllister; daughter, Elizabeth Katherine McAllister; son, Tom (Rebecca) McAllister; grandchildren: Zachariah and Mason McAllister, Gage Gabbard, and Vicktoria McAllister; sister, Teresa (Vern) Olsen; brother, Robert McAllister.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charlie McAllister and sister-in-law, Anne McAllister.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at New Point Christian Church. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm with Pastor Dennis Spears officiating. Burial will follow at Rossburg Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by the Batesville VFW Post #3183 and Prell-Bland American Legion Post #271.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Wounded Warrior Project as Larry was a very proud Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, or the New Point Christian Church.
