Lena Brewer, age 84 years of Batesville, IN passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. Born March 23, 1925 in Hamilton, OH she was the daughter of Jesse & Ercie (Davis) McDaniels. Mrs. Brewer retired from Krogers in 1983 and was a member of the O.E.S., American Legion Auxiliary and Batesville Eagles. She is survived by her daughters Carla (Bob) Heidlage & Becky Bischoff both of Batesville, IN; 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and brothers Jess (Marilyn) McDaniels & David (Juanita) McDaniels. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Ray Barcus & her second husband Harlan Brewer and siblings Hazel Ross, Rose Hurst, Betty Ray & Harold McDaniels. Visitation will be Saturday, March 28, 2009 from 10am-1pm at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville, IN. Funeral Services are Saturday at 1:00pm at the funeral home with Pastor Larry Marhanka officiating. Burial will be in the Methodist Church Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Batesville Food Pantry c/o the funeral home.
