Mabel Johnson (nee Kaiser), age 98 of Bright, IN passed away Thursday, August 25, 2011 in Lawrenceburg, IN. Born September 21, 1912 in Guilford, IN she was the daughter of the late William & Mary (Rudd) Kaiser. She married Emmert "Red" A. Johnson on November 2, 1929 in Lawrenceburg, IN and he passed away May 22, 1972. She was a member of the Dearborn Hills United Methodist Church and the Bright Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary. Mabel is survived by her children and their spouses Sonia & Robert Kaffenberger of Lawrenceburg, IN; Donald Johnson of Milan, IN; Charles "Chuck" & Thelma Johnson of Dover, IN; Paul & Sally Johnson of Bright, IN and Clayton & Frances Johnson of Osgood, IN. She will also be missed by her 19 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson and siblings Harry Kaiser, Clayton Kaiser, Whitey Kaiser, Blacky Kaiser, Martha Kaiser & Loretta Moore. Visitation will be Saturday, August 27, 2011 from 10am until time of services at 12 noon all at Dearborn Hills United Methodist Church in Bright, IN with Bro. Mark Tanner officiating. Burial will be in Gibson Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Bright Fire & EMS, Dearborn Hills United Methodist Church or the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Assoc. c/o the funeral home.
