Mabel Marie Puente of Batesville, IN passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at the Waters of Batesville. She was 95 years old. The daughter of Eathel & Leota (Gray) Baker was born on May 21, 1920 in Osgood, IN. Mable married Joseph Puente on September 12, 1943 in Osgood, IN.

Mabel retired from Hill-Rom in 1982 and was a member of St. Pius Catholic Church. She really liked to quilt and over the years she made a lot of quilts. Mable also loved spending time with her family, especially with all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mable is survived by her son Kenneth (Edna) Puente of Batesville, five grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren and two nieces.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son Charles Puente and brother Raymond Baker.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 23, 2016 from 12 noon until 2:00pm, immediately followed by a 2:00pm Funeral Blessing, all at Meyers Funeral Home, Batesville, IN. Burial to follow in St. Pius Church Cemetery, Sunman.

Memorials may be given the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in honor of her great granddaughter.
