Maggie Gilbreath, age 79 years of Batesville, IN passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2005 at Hospitality Hall in Batesville, IN. Born March 10, 1926 in Manchester, KY she was the daughter of Samuel & Mandy (Lunsford) Jewell. She married Walter Gilbreath, Sr. on Feb. 6, 1947. Mrs. Gilbreath is survived by her son Walter Gilbreath Jr.; daughter Shirley Goodpaster and daughter-in-law Pam Farmer all of Batesville, IN; brothers Homer Jewell and Jim Jewell both of North Vernon, IN and sisters Lucy Cranfill of Cincinnati, OH and Callie Hoegeman of Batsville, IN. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her sons Gene Farmer Sr. and Jimmy Don Gilbreath; 1 granddaughter and 3 brothers. Visitation will be Thursday, May 5, 2005 from 4-8pm at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville, IN. Funeral Services will be Friday, May 6, 2005; 10:30 AM at Meyers Funeral Home with Darrell Peters officiating. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery in Batesville. Memorials are suggested to Hospitality Hall.
