Marilyn Margaret Van Hook, age 72 years of Batesville, IN passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at Margaret Mary Community Hospital in Batesville. Born December 30, 1934 in Chicago, IL she was the daughter of the late Charles & Anna (DeVries) Cook. She married William Theodore Van Hook on September 1, 1956 in Chicago, IL. She was a homemaker & formerly worked for The Gallery Restaurant in Batesville. She was active in & did volunteer work for the Ripley Co. Community Foundation. She started the Daryl Lea Van Hook Memorial Scholarship Fund, the Margaret Mary Community Hospital Fund & the Marilyn M. & William T. Van Hook Operating Endowment Fund. Mrs. Van Hook is survived by her husband William Theodore Van Hook, son Robert Van Hook of Napoleon, IN. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Daryl Lea Van Hook & a brother, Richard Cook. Visitation will be Friday, October 5, 2007 from 5-8pm at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville, IN. Funeral Services will be Saturday at 10:00 AM at the funeral home with Rev. Larry Marhanka officiating. Burial will be in the Batesville United Methodist Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Marilyn M. & William T. Van Hook Operating Endowment Fund.
